The Cost Of A Single Packaging Dependency

When Broadcom restructured Bitnami's distribution model, every organization pinned to those images discovered how concentrated and fragile their supply chain had quietly become.

The Cost Of Frozen Images In Production

Legacy repositories with no security patches are not an alternative, they are a countdown to the next critical CVE disclosure with no remediation path available.

The Cost Of Treating AI Workloads Like General-Purpose Apps

GPU scheduling, model artifact management, inference runtime configuration, and secret handling for model registries are operational demands that a generic container image swap was never designed to address.

The Cost Of Solving This Twice

Replacing your general-purpose images today and then separately solving AI infrastructure packaging next quarter means duplicated effort, duplicated risk, and two vendor relationships where one should suffice.

Process

How teams typically get started

Step 1
Share your current stack
Tell us which Bitnami images and charts you currently depend on, and whether you have air-gapped or restricted network requirements. A quick form or a 15-minute call is enough.
Step 2
We map your migration path
Our team provides a concrete plan: which Shakudo images and charts replace what you are running today, what configuration changes are needed, and where AI runtime support adds new capability you did not have before.
Step 3
Deploy and validate
You deploy Shakudo packages into your existing cluster using your existing tooling. We provide support through the migration and stay with you through the first upgrade cycle to make sure everything holds.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a fork of Bitnami charts?

No. Shakudo maintains its own image and chart catalog built from upstream sources. We follow similar packaging principles (versioned tags, security hardening, Helm-native delivery) but our charts are authored and tested independently, with particular depth in AI and data workloads.

Do you support all the applications Bitnami used to cover?

Our catalog focuses on AI runtimes (vLLM, TGI), core data infrastructure (PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, and others), and the supporting services most teams need around them. We are expanding based on direct customer demand, so if you need something specific, tell us and it will directly influence our roadmap.

How do the images and charts relate to the Shakudo platform?

The images, charts, validated profiles, and air-gapped delivery bundles are all part of the Shakudo platform. They are built, tested, and maintained as an integrated system, which is how we guarantee compatibility, security patching, and upgrade paths across your entire stack. This is not a public registry you pull from; it is a managed catalog that runs inside your infrastructure as part of a platform your team operates day to day. That integration is what makes the reliability guarantees possible in the first place.

What does air-gapped delivery actually look like?

We provide two modes. The first is an internal mirror setup where Shakudo images are synced to your private registry on a controlled schedule. The second is an offline transfer bundle: a signed, self-contained archive that can be carried across an air gap and loaded into a disconnected cluster. Both include verification tooling and are managed through the Shakudo platform.

What does support look like?

You get access to Shakudo's infrastructure engineering team for deployment planning, migration from your current setup, upgrade guidance, and security patch coordination. Response times and coverage depend on your support tier.

How does pricing work?

Shakudo is an enterprise platform priced based on the scope and scale of your deployment. It is not a per-image or per-pull model. The best way to get a clear answer for your situation is to talk to our team directly, and we will be straightforward about what the engagement looks like.

What if I just need a quick image replacement right now?

If your immediate need is swapping out broken Bitnami tags to get pods running again today, there are community and open source options that can help with that. Where Shakudo fits is when your team is ready to stop treating infrastructure packaging as a series of emergency patches and start running on a platform that handles the full lifecycle: versioning, hardening, delivery, updates, and support, especially for AI and data workloads where the operational complexity is highest. That might be the right conversation for today, or it might be the right conversation for next quarter. Either way we are happy to talk through it.
