At Shakudo we are changing how the industry approaches data and compute heavy technologies with a focus on data, machine learning and Web 3. We have strong momentum going into the second half of 2022 and are growing our team!

We are well capitalized for the next stretch of our journey and are working with tens of fascinating tech companies across a broad range of industries.

The ideal candidate would be someone who has technical background and has established themselves as a strong voice in the data and machine learning communities. As Head of Developer Relations - Data & ML, you will work closely with the leadership team, and across all functions to build a large and engaged community of developers, data engineers and data scientists that help propel our mission forward.


  • Define the strategy and execute on building and maintaining a large and engaged community of data engineers, data scientists, and machine learning experts
  • Create tutorials, walkthroughs, and open source examples of data and machine learning applications applications built on the Shakudo platform
  • Hire, manage and collaborate with a team of content writers to produce a steady stream of quality content across multiple channels
  • Advocate for the developer community and our users with our product management team to ensure that the product roadmap includes features that are important to the community
  • Organize events, webinars, invited speaker talks and fun activities for the developer community


  • Adept with Python for data science and data engineering, including working knowledge of Pandas, NumPy, Scikit Learn etc. Ideally at least two years of professional experience as a software engineer or developer, or equivalent technical experience - and still live and breathe the community
  • Experience with fast-growing developer relations, technical advocacy and/or community management functions
  • Some experience with hiring and managing a team
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to explain complex technological topics to audiences with varying degrees of familiarity with data engineering and machine learning
  • Experience speaking at developer community events and participating in online forums, meetups, and social media
  • Familiarity with Spark, Dask, Ray, and other data scalability frameworks
  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
